Made it to Nepal and preparing a few things before starting the trek to EBC (Everest Base Camp). My flight to Lukla, which is where most trekkers begin ascending to EBC is in a couple of days. Lukla is considered the most dangerous airport in the world; couldn’t think of a better way to start this trek lol. Most of my winter gear is still with me from my time spent in Japan back in February, so I’ll only need to rent/buy a few more things before I jet off. I’ve been researching a ton of different options and I’ve picked a route to EBC and back to Kathmandu that’ll last 14-16 days.
Kathmandu is pretty cool as well; lots of things to see and loads of good food, coffee, and tea. Here are some pics of Swayambhunath Stupa, Durbar Square, and other random parts of Thamel which is the downtown area in Kathmandu. I realize I haven’t been posting any pictures of food here since I started traveling but I’m trying to change that now.
I’ll check back in for sure when I return to Kathmandu, wish me luck!
