#15: Kyoto -> Seoul

Wow, I can’t believe I’ve held off Kyoto for this long since I’ve been in Japan. There’s a ton of history and culture here. I visited all the temples and gardens that I wanted to see, and really enjoyed kicking it with some new folks that I met along the way.

I spent the days walking around the city soaking in the culture, and most of my evenings chilling along the Kamo River in the Gion District with some cold ones and good company.  The past two days I’ve been relaxing in Osaka and getting some much needed rest.  I’m currently at the airport waiting for my flight to Seoul; as much as I’d love to settle down in Japan and teach english on a longer-term basis, I want to continue exploring. On to the next one, let’s do this!

  • Arashiyama Bamboo Forest & Monkey Park
  • Fushimi Inari-Taisha
  • Golden Temple
  • Kiyomizu-Dera
  • Tenryu-Ji
  • Kamo River
  • Katsura River
